The seventh (and last?) Japanese trailer for Trauma Team is up yet it doesn’t shed any more light on what the killer disease is this time. It does show that whatever it is, it causes a lot of internal hemorrhaging. Maybe beyond Class IV? It also hints the protagonist CR-S01’s father maybe behind it all and have signed a pact with evil.
On the other hand, those who order early in Japan will be able to collect this special DVD from stores featuring a high quality collection of all the trailers and interviews with the voice actors namely…
- Takahiro Sakurai as CR-S01
Other roles – Cloud from FFVII Advent Children, Suzaku from Code Geass
- Keiji Fujiwara as Gabriel Cunningham
Other roles – Keisei from Kurobane Hime, Rad from Baccano
- Masashi Sugawa as Hank Freebird
Other roles – Seiji from Darker Than Black, Ray from Macross 7
- Hitomi Nabatame as Maria Torres
Other roles – Margery from Shakugan no Shana, Unchou from Ikkitousen
- Akeno Watanabe as Mira Kimishima
Other roles – Diana from Spice and Wolf, Tia from Shakugan no Shana
- Shizuka Itou as Tomoe Tachibana
Other roles – Boota from Gurren Lagann, Kunogi from xxxHolic
I’d prefer it if it was the soundtrack or an artbook to be honest… ^^;
It appears Falcom are accepting applications for anyone who’d like to have a role voice acting in their fourth “Sora no Kiseki” sequel, “Zero no Kiseki“.
Applications began on Monday shortly after they announced the game and will be open until May 31st. The application procedure is simple – Pick one of the shown character sprites on the site and then give it a name.
30 names will then be randomly drawn and be given a minor role in the PSP game. Falcom staff will set up the rest such as your lines and the kind of personality your side character has.
This might end up being a break for anyone aspiring to be a voice actor/actress.
Originally a visual novel game for the Xbox 360 released back in October 2009, “Steins Gate” will be making its way to the PC this July 30th (updated to August 28th due to quality issues) with new event illustrations added.
This is the second game produced by a collaboration between 5pb and Nitro+, the first being “Chaos;Head“. Apparently this game’s gathered quite some interest in the West too judging by what I can find using just the English name.
The story tells of Rintarou Okabe, a “sufferer of chuunibyou” which is slang commonly used on the popular Japanese 2ch discussion site to describe males who act as if they’re still in the stages of puberty, acting and saying things that are completely inconsiderate of others such as anti-social behaviour. Written 厨二病 instead of 中二病 (same pronunciation) to give the term distinction from the original meaning which was used to refer to females who act as if they’re still in junior high.
In Rintarou’s case, he is a self-proclaimed “mad scientist” who starts his own “Mirai Gadgets” circle (a term used to refer to people with similar interests) in Akihabara right after being admitted into university. One day, he and the other two members of his circle create their 8th gadget, the “Telephone Cooker” and discover it has a feature that they had never planned – It allowed the user to send a message/mail people in the past.
With it they learn that a European science organisation by the name of “SERN” has been experimenting to create a mini black hole in order to create a time machine and begins to find strange things happening around him such as large groups of people suddenly disappearing. Rintarou even witnesses the murder of 18 year old prodigy, Kurisu Makise who was featured in the American science magazine “Ocarin” but for some reason, finds her still alive hours later.
When so many “coincidences” happening around them and the butterfly effect taking place, the Mirai Gadgets team know that they must be very cautious with their new invention.
Falcom must really love their “Sora no Kiseki” RPG setup because they are now working on a fourth title for the PSP!
There’s not much information regarding this new title named “Zero no Kiseki” at the moment other than teaser screenshots and that the protagonists are named Loyd Bannings and Elly McDowell. Apparently these characters were shown in the bonus “Legend of Heroes 7 Design Works” book that came as a bonus with their last game, Ys7.
Expect to see this sometime this year, 2010.
Hmmm, I think Atlus used this trailer teasing marketing strategy before… Can’t remember for which game though.
In any case, the game developer has been releasing a new trailer everyday in collaboration with Famitsu, each trailer featuring one of the six doctors from their upcoming Trauma Team game. So we now have (from left to right)…
- Maria Torres – Paramedic
- Gabriel Cunningham – Diagnosis
- Naomi Kimishima – Forensics
- CR-S01 – Surgeon
- Tomoe Tachibana – Endoscopy
- Hank Freebird – Orthopedics
No gameplay, just cutscene footage but still interesting to watch. You can read the full character profiles and view actual gameplay on the NA website or visit the Japanese site to listen to the English vocal theme song.
Theme song doesn’t sound too good but the BGM on the other hand seems to be in the same style as previous titles. Well, I guess it is by the co-composer Atsushi Kitajoh of New Blood after all.
