Zatsu Tabi: That's Journey (2025, Makaria)
ざつ旅
zatsu tabi
College student and Manga assistant Chika Suzugamori won a newcomer prize but after starting to work officially her drafts are rejected. Feeling down, a travel programme inspires her to go on a trip. After posting to social media where she should go, she receives some overwhelming response and feels she couldn't back out. And so, poll based impromptu trips whenever she is down or has another draft rejected, is her new hobby for inspiration.
It has Yuru Camp vibes; just taking it easy and being introduced to various places (including common mistakes visitors make). Ending does a similar photo showcase too except Yuru Camp were more like bonus images instead of just screenshots. There isn't as much silliness to amuse but it does it's best to make plain looking places you don't usually see in mainstream travel shows as fun as possible between the drunken big sis and senior with the hyper imagination.
And if you're still learning Japanese, you'll probably learn more useful everyday phrases such as reservations from this show. Maybe you'll learn what local dialect like "kito-kito" or "shozu" means from this show too.
There's pretty much no fan service other than literally steamy hot spring scenes but it's just the characters relaxing rather than fan service inspired chitchat.
Official title for "Zatsu Tabi" is "That's Journey" but the Japanese is more like wordplay for "random journey". If you're bored of the same old spots on travel shows, this might prove interesting (two places piqued my interest in the end). Or if you just want a slice-of-life show with real world trivia like Yuru Camp then you'd probably like this.
