Doraemon: Nobita's Three Visionary Swordsmen (1994, Shin-Ei Animation)
ドラえもん: のび太と夢幻三剣士
Doraemon: Nobita to Mugen Sankenshi
Nobita dreams of himself as the swordsman hero "Golden Hat" one night only to be waken up late for school again. When he remembers he hadn't done his homework yet, a strange man appears and lets him have a "Cherry of Knowledge. Nobita completes his homework without a problem but the effect doesn't last for long. Soon, he meet the man again who offers him something better but only in the world of "The Three Visionary Swordsmen."
It just so happens Doraemon was being sold such a tape for his Dream Machine and Nobita manages to convince him to buy it despite the disclaimers that it could affect reality. When he finds out he can't share the joy of his heroic adventure dream with his friends, he decides to include them into the Dream Machine too and together, they must save the kingdom from the demon army.
Probably one of the darker Doraemon movies as they fight against the evil beings with devastating magic but all the talking animal designs means Underworld still remains the best in my opinion. Shizuka gets more of a role instead of your usual damsel in distress.
There's a bit of re-design of the Nobi home. Part of the wall's changed from wood to bricks at the entrance and the hallway outside Nobita's room has added storage space.
