Hoshi wo Ou Kodomo Blu-ray/DVD November Releases Includes English Subtitles!
Makoto Shinkai just announced via Twitter that the Blu-ray and DVD release of his latest movie, "Hoshi wo Ou Kodomo" will be available in Japan on November 25th and the good news is both versions will include English subtitles!

As far as the English-speaking market is concerned, waiting for Shinkai's films to get the high-def treatment they deserve almost seems like an exercise in futility; good on them to add subtitles from the start and spare us from an agonising (possibly endless) wait.
I sure hope that substantial discount on the limited-edition set holds for a while, though I'll probably put in a pre-order soon to lock in the price.
