Chocobo and the Magic Picture Book, Flow of the Game

Famitsu reminds people what the upcoming Square-Enix title, "Chocobo to Mahou no Ehon" is all about in the latest issue of their magazine. Once you get started in the game, you:

1. Go in search of other magical picture books scattered around the world.
2. Play through the mini games contained in the books to obtain a new card.
3. Use those cards to defeat monsters and bosses.

Some of the mini games you will be participating in include a race against the Sabotender from the FF series as well as tapping various FF characters as you see them running across the screen. Depending on how well you do in these mini games, you will gain a different card each time.

Nothing much have been revealed about the card battles yet but, you'll find that you can summon characters from cards which will then be presented in 2D, card form. It's unknown what the gauge marked out does at the moment but, my guess is that it represents the number of cards you have in a deck. To to the right, we see the sub-characters in the story, Shiroma the White Mage, Kuroma the Black Mage and Bebooz, the evil demon king.
