Complete Set of Nintendo Games Sell for 650,000 Yen
Akibablog (NSFW) reports that just 10 days ago, a complete set of Japanese NES games went on display in the Madarake Complex, Akiba. The collection consisted of 1051 titles released between 1983 and 1994 such as Donkey Kong and Popeye, coming at an asking price of 650,000 Yen (US$7300). Now that offer has been taken up and the showcase is due to be gone from the store after January 23rd. Plenty of people are taking the opportunity to drop by for photos while it's still there on display.
Someone must have a lot of money to spend to buy this... Either that or it's an organisation or a group of people that bought it. I guess it would be impressive to have if you had enough room to display them all somewhere like a games museum.
