Dead or Alive Online to Appear in China, Tecmo’s First MMO Game
Interesting. A Japanese game being developed in Chinese first.
Named "Si Huo Sheng", the literal translation of the English name, this online version of the beat-em-up game will be developed for the PC by Tecmo's online game team "Lievo Studio". The service will be paid and the closed beta is due to take place in China early in 2008. The company is aims to attract 5 million members so that they can take first place in the online games charts in China.
Player avatars will be known as "KINs" and are fully customisable. You can take part in ranked tournaments or even arrange your own. Parties known as "Unity" can also be formed so that larger scale group fights can be played.
No news about a Japanese or English release. You can find some promotional videos and character wallpapers on the official Chinese site.
