Banpresto is set to release a new mecha game, "Super Robot Taisen W" on March 1st with the 'W' standing for the dual screen on the DS and that scenarios will be made up of two parts. Scenarios will work similarly to "Gaiden" that was released for the PS and "SRWR" on the GBA.

For those of you who don't know about the series, it's basically a collage of mecha (giant robot) Anime shows allowing you to deploy and control all your favourite units in this turn based strategy. Story wise, it's pretty much based along the lines of the Gundam universe where humans are split into colonies across space. Now each of them fight for what they believe is right.

Apart from familiar units such as those from Gundam and Mazinger, there are also new mecha units from Yuushaou Gaogaiga appearing for the very first time in the series.

This will also be the first time for mecha units from Gundam SEED Astray, Uchuu no Kishi: Tekkaman Blade, Detonator Orgun and Hyakujuou Goraion to appear on a handheld game.

Pre-orders will get a little keyring case for your DS games ;)
