Uniqlo to Launch Evangelion Movie T-shirts in May ::

There's no Uniqlo stores here in Scotland as far as I'm aware but for those of you Eva fans that do have access to one, you might want to watch out for these Eva Rebuild movie themed t-shirts due out in the second half of May. This should be better than going for the bootleg printed t-shirts that come off in a few washes ^^; Update: Those of you...

Free Evangelion 2.22 Apps for iPhone from Yahoo Japan ::

Gainax is really pushing the Evangelion 2.22 marketing at full force with burgers and a fully themed convenience store. It might make sense considering how the simultaneous Blu-ray and DVD limited edition releases are out next month in Japan. Then again, the very first movie's DVD LE release still sold out last time without this much...

Evangelion 2.22 Blu-Ray Collector's Edition Review ::

Both the DVD and Blu-ray release of Evangelion 2.22 is finally out and since both copies come with the collector's film strip this time, I decided to go for the higher quality Blu-ray version. The packaging is fairly much the same as the 1.01 limited edition - A sturdy cardboard box except I think it's orange for the Blu-ray versions....

Evangelion 2.22 Commemorates with Burger Meals ::

In "commemoration" of the upcoming Evangelion 2.22 DVD/Bluray release that will both feature a collector's film strip and an extra 3 minutes of footage, fast food store Lotteria is doing a special meal. From April 22nd this week, those in Japan will be able to purchase the "Eva BurChicki Box" (the Japanese like to shorten words) for...

BFI Southbank Anime Weekend, Evangelion 2.0 and Professor Layton ::

Those of you who missed the Evangelion 2.0 premiere here in Glasgow because you were down in England will now have a chance to see it yourselves on the big screen. BFI Southbank in London is holding an "Anime Weekend" next May and amongst its line up will include both Evangelion Rebuild movies, as well as Level 5 puzzle game based...

Valkyria Chronicles, From PS3 Game to Anime

After watching Valkyria Chronicles, it makes me want to play the first game on the PS3 even more. The PSP sequel was a really enjoyable game. That's also why I got interested in this show partly because of the sequel's excellent presentation and wondered if the VC universe continues on with the story. Good to see that it indeed does and...

Ghibli's 2010 Movie, The Borrower Arrietty ::

Wow, Ghibli's next movie "Karigurashi no Arrietty, The Borrower Arrietty" is going to based on another novel - The Borrowers by Mary Norton. Basically a group of tiny people who are about the size of a human hand, going about their tiny lives by borrowing whatever they can get their hands on while facing all the dangers of the giant...

Evangelion 2.22 DVD and Blu-Ray Releases in May with Film Strips ::

Amazon JP has listed the Japanese releases of both the DVD and Blu-ray versions of Evangelion 2.0 for May 26th. The good news is, both will have first press editions available this time apparently so that anyone who prefer the High Definition copy of the movie won't miss out on the collector's items like the last time with the first...

Evangelion 2.0 UK Premiere Impressions ::

Since I couldn't check online to see how many of the 394 seats at the Glasgow Film Theatre were reserved, I thought I'd try to find out while I was there to pick up my tickets for the Evangelion 2.0 UK Premiere. Apparently over 200 seats were reserved by Friday so I guess all those people that posted on the forums about how they were going to...

Kurokami The Animation, The Unaired Side Story

This is a side story from the Korean Manga based show Kurokami that was never shown on TV and came as a bonus item with the limited edition of the last Blu-ray disc, volume eight. It seems to take place somewhere in-between the events of episode 18 and centres around Excel. It doesn't expand the main plot in anyway. It's basically...
