The Last Remnant PC Benchmarking Program Available

SE had released a benchmark program for the PC before FFXI was officially released so, why not one for the PC version of Last Remnant too? You can download the free 274MB benchmark program via the Japanese website. Once you've downloaded it, extract the contents of the zip file then go into the "Binaries" folder and run "TLRBench.exe" to see how well your computer should run the game.

My setup scored 61.77fps at 1440 x 990 which means I should be able to run the game at high settings according to the site. As long as it's above 30fps, I don't mind so I'll probably end up maxing out the settings since videos run lower than that rate. Don't have to worry about this kind of tech talk with consoles, huh?

Last Remnant PC Benchmark

Been interested in this since hearing about it for the Xbox360. Think I last saw it going for £15 over here in the stores during the Christmas period but, don't really want to use my brother's consoles if I don't have to. Unless it's for console only titles such as Eternal Sonata.

The Japanese PC version is due out April 9th while the Western version only has a rough date of Spring. It will have the following new features thanks to the more powerful PC hardware that is available:

  • Battles can be speeded up.
  • A higher limit of leader units.
  • Visually preview your equipment.
  • Switch between English/Japanese voices (JP version only?)

New features.

Now it would be icing on the cake if they decided to bring FFXIII to the PC too!

Why not take a break?
