Well, just been listening to the Death Note Movie OST and, the Tribute Album that was released a week ago. Just to get an idea of what the movie might be like.

Tribute is a collection of 15 songs from various artists, aiming to reproduce the atmosphere portrayed in the Manga. Most of the songs I didn't like apart from the first track, Himitsu Kessha (Secret Society). Very catchy tune.

The OST contains 26 tracks, mostly dark music that's perfect for Death Note. For some reason though, it reminds me of the BGMs from the Anime, Yu Yu Hakusho (AKA, Poultergeist Report). Especially track 8, a reality. Track 18, be cute is... Cute? SD Anime characters prancing around immediately springs to mind but, I can't imagine what the scene will be like with real actors. A scene for Misa's actress, perhaps?

There is a hidden 27th "track", a message from Ryuk the Death God. He says...

Hmm? You can hear me I see. Then let me tell you this... I can see what Raito's life expectancy and L's name is.

I think anyone who has read the Manga would have figured that out so, don't see the point of this message. The voice sounds like a good match with the character, though.

Can't wait to watch the movie. If it ever hits the UK cinemas, I wonder how people will react to this horror movie... The non Anime/Manga fans that is, of course.
