??? for Korea for scoring an equaliser, drawing the match against France and giving them a total of 4 points now in Group G, putting them in the lead.
France dominated the entire match and practically gave Korea no chance to score. Henry scored an easy goal in the first 10 minutes of the first half. Quick touch with his right foot then, in with the left giving France an 1-0 lead.
After Henry's goal, there was some discussion about whether another of France's shot crossed the line before the Korean's goalkeeper managed to save it. From the replays it looked like it went pass the line so, France could have got 2-0 at this point. Too bad the linesman didn't see it.
Then finally, in the last 10 minutes of the second half, Korea's Park Ji-Sung just manages to prod the ball high enough over the French goalkeeper for an equaliser. The GK got a light touch of the ball with his fingers but, it slipped in anyway.
French player Gallas was so furious it went in that he grabbed the ball out of the goal and, smacked it across the pitch.
All those Koreans, who woke up or stayed up until 4AM in the morning over in Korea, must have been really happy to see their team get back into the match. The supporters at the stadium definitely were! The French were dominating with possession and shots but, they managed to struggle through.
Anyway, well done Korea! ?????!
Next comes Switzerland on Friday.
