More Screenshots for Mario Hoop 3-on-3
Famitsu releases more information and screenshots about the control system involved in Mario Hoops 3-on-3, which gets released next month for the NDS on July 27th, in Japan.
For those who haven't been catching up on what it's all about, here's a quick summary:
As the name suggests, two teams made up of three characters each will play against each other on the court. There will be '?' mark blocks scattered about the court that gives your characters various items such as bombs and shells. Unlike normal basketball, the points for each of your shots aren't set and by collecting coins, you can increase your score per successful shot.
Wi-Fi mode will support a 2 player versus mode and a mini game will support up to 4 players playing simultaneously.
+Control via the stylus and buttons.
Characters can be controlled via the touch screen to do basic actions such as dribbling, passing and shooting. Tapping the stylus quickly will make your character dribble faster while, sliding your stylus to another character in your team will pass. Finally, sliding your stylus upwards will shoot towards the basket.
+ Get more points with special shots!
Every character will have their own Special Shot and once it's ready, tap the numbers on the bottom screen accordingly to execute it. Below, we see Kooper Jr's Graffiti Shot as he jumps into the air, whacking the ball with a paintbrush and a splash of colours. Next we have Daisy's Flower Shot where countless petals prances in the air as the ball travels to the goal and finally, Wario's Dokedoke Dunk where he rams his way through his opponents.
