Today, Bandai has made an announcement that the visual novel game "Suzumiya Haruhi no Yakusoku" will be delayed by a week due to quality assurance. That means it will now be released on December 27th instead of the original date of December 20th.

Yes, only the best for Haruhi fans but, it means anyone who was going to buy it as a Christmas gift won't get it in time. On the bright side, at least it'll give people more time to put a pre-order for the premium box or just the regular edition.

It's going to be interesting to see how this first official Haruhi game will sell considering how popular the show has been with the Anime community and the success of its franchise. Then there's also how the game will feature an all new theme song from the female lead voice actresses, collection of event scenes and, the Motion Portrait technology should stir up some interest too.

Think there will be a giant queue on the day with people doing the HareHare Yukai dance nearby?
