Well, Clubhouse Games DS has been released in Japan now as "Wi-Fi Taiou Sekai no Dare demo Asobi Taizen" but looks like it's not enough. "Wi-Fi Taiou Gensen Table Game DS" from Hudson follows with a similar idea allowing you to play random players at 6 table games which are Go, Mahjong, Millionaire (?), Hanafuda, Reverse and Renju via Wi-Fi.

You can also play solo using the 3 different modes available which are Training Mode where you choose your game and set your own rules, Challenge Mode where you must fulfil certain conditions and, Win Through Mode where your opponent gets stronger the more you win.

Wi-Fi has support for voice chat when you're using Friend Codes and also allows you to design your own custom avatar. There is a national ranking and you can gain various titles as you play.

Not as many games as Clubhouse but I like the idea of avatars.
