Around 35,000 people attend this convention that takes place twice annually and this year's winter one just ended days ago. Companies show off their latest "Garage Kits" there but a lot of cosplaying takes place too. Checkout these pictures of Katamari and Gundam costumes I found!

In case you're wondering, figures are big business in Japan with some selling for as high as 88,000 Yen (US$748!). Normally they range from around 2000 (US$17) ~ 7000 Yen (US$60) though - about a full price game. While I wouldn't pay that much for one, Japanese figures do look very well-made. Everything is so detailed from the hair, clothing creases and the little accessories they carry.
