Set for 22nd February 2007, it's been revealed that there will be four different tiers of armour you can pick up in the second Monster Hunter PSP game.
As with the previous game you have armour covering your head, body, arms, waist and legs. Each of these can be of the following series:
Can be created from early on in the game. Grants basic skills.
Can be created from early on in the game. Doesn't offer much more defence than Normal armour but has a lot of slots allowing more freedom with skills.
Armour that is created by using material obtained from high level quests. Grants powerful skills and lots of slots but, it can't compare to the increase defence the S Series offers.
Armour that is created by using material obtained from high level quests and you can also customise the colour. Grants basic skills and provides high defence.
To upgrade, you'll have to obtain a material known as "Yoroi Tama (Armour Orbs)" and pay a fee to the weapons smith.
As with the previous game, each piece of armour also has some special skills attached to them. By wearing the right combination of armour to fulfil the point requirements these skills will can be activated. Skills include immunity to cold, decreased earth damage and increased power for piercing armour ammo.
The Felyne Kitchen is also still available, working the same way as before; hire different Felynes to cook you food. Each of them will have their own cooking skills and dishes that they're good at. New in this sequel is that they can now prepare raw meat for you too (?).
