The V-Jump magazine this month has a page showing another one of the mini games available in Chocobo no Mahou Ehon. Entitled "Toad de Pyokon (Jump with the Frog)," you have to help protect a toad from a Sahagin by guiding it onto leaves in a pond. If you let the Sahagin catch up then... The poor little toad goes splat on your screen.

As mentioned before, beating the mini games earns you more cards to do battle with the monsters lurking about inside the magic picture book, summoning creatures in "paper" form.
