As part of Hudson's National Caravan event, a press conference took place on Friday announcing the start of the registration for the Bomberman Cup 2006 which will last until the end of August. The actual competition will be taking place online at the end of August using a special version of the online PC game Bomberman Land, allowing 6 players to versus one another.

Those who wish to participate can join either the "Survival Stage" which has a cash prize or, the "Enjoy Stage" which will offer prizes instead. Participants will be competing to gain points by defeating their opponents and, those who make it through the preliminary rounds in the Survival Stage will be playing their final match at the Tokyo Game Show 2006 on August 22nd til 24th.
