From July 6th onwards, owners of Animal Crossing in Japan will be able to obtain rare items related to the Mario franchise by using the Nintendo DS Stations scattered around town. Players will then receive a message and item from the mayor at the seaside.

The following items are available:

July 6th ~ July 19th: Star or Pipe
July 20th ~ August 2nd: Shell or '?' Block

Animal Crossing is a game where players can enjoy a fun and relaxing life in a town with animal friends. There is a wide variety of things to do including spending time decorating their home, working hard to earn money, celebrating with friends in town and more. A Wi-Fi mode even allows players to invite a friend over to the town they have developed.
