am3, the company responsible for the Gameboy Advance movies in Japan will now be producing movies for viewing on the NDS. The service named "Advance DS Movies" will commence next month, July 21st.

As with the Gameboy Advance, movies are stored on flash media cards which, can then be inserted into a movie adapter for viewing on the handheld console. It's very similar to some third party products that are available at the moment.

Movies can be purchased on flash media cards via small vending machines or, users can use their existing cards to download the movies from via the machine. Current Anime available are Pokemon, Crayon Shin-chan, Detective Conan, Bakuten, O-cha Inu, Bakushou Mondai no Bakuten, Time Bokan and Tensai Bokabon. A Dengeki Games Channel is also available for free download so that NDS owners may know the latest news about games, Anime and toys etc.
