More of the new content that will appear in the latest Pokemon games, Pokemon Diamond and Pokemon Silver was revealed today.

These include:

• New Pokedex and character named Professor Nanakamado.
• Two new Pokemon, Lucario and Buizeru.
• New purchaseable goods such as a watch.
• A morning to night time cycle.
• Underground Pokemon Centers.

Set for release sometime in Autumn this year, Pokemon Diamond/Pearl will be set in the region of Shinnou. As with previous Pokemon portable console games, the player will be capturing wild Pokemon and training them to take part in a league, aiming to become the champion.

New Pokedex & Professor Nanakamado
With the new game set for the NDS, the Pokedex will be controlled via the stylus on the bottom screen while displaying individual Pokemon data on the top. Apart from the basic data, you'll be able to compare the weight of two Pokemon and also hear their cries.

The Pokemon researcher this time round will be Professor Nanakamado who takes a particular interest in the evolution of Pokemon. He asks the player to help him complete the Pokedex.

Two new Pokemon, Lucario and Buizeru.
Lucario is a steel/fighting type Pokemon. It has a psychic ability as well as another unknown one. It weighs 54.0kg.

Buizeru on the other hand is a water type Pokemon that can whirl its split tail at high speed. Its ability allows an increase in speed when it rains. It's 0.7m tall and weights 29.5kg.

New purchaseable goods such as a watch.
The watch (also known as Pokecchi) is a new item that can be purchased and worn on the wrist in the game. While travelling on your adventures, the Pokecchi is displayed on the bottom screen.

When first purchased, it won't have many functions but, it's expandable with applications you obtain. There are over 20 functions including a calculator, a camera function to see how your Pokemon is doing, a compatibility comparison function that compares how well a Pokemon's type and moves work together.

Two colours will be available, blue for boys and red for girls.

A morning to night time cycle.
Various graphics will reflect the time of day; daytime will be bright, towns will be dyed in red during sunset and places will be lit up with lights at night. It seems these new time changes will affect the way Pokemon evolve and which ones you will encounter.

Underground Pokemon Centers.
New entrances to underground Pokemon Centers will be in the game although it's yet unknown what can be found there.
