The Wii Gets An “ISO Loader”, No Chips Required

The hackers continue to make advances on the Wii using the Homebrew Channel that anyone can install using the Twilight Princess hack. This time, they’ve come up with a very early version of an “ISO Loader”, ISOs being copies of commercial software discs that can be bought in shops.

In other words, you will most likely be able to play free “backup” copy of games on your Wii without a chip soon.

The New Nintendo Wi-Fi Network Adaptor

Still haven’t bought yourself a wireless router to get your consoles online? Then maybe you’ll consider a Nintendo branded “Wi-Fi Network Adaptor” due out September 18th at 5800 Yen (US$54), only via their online store.

Supporting wireless b/g (i.e. maximum transfer speed of 54Mbps), the adaptor can be switched between router and bridge mode. Router mode being used when more than one device needs to connect to the internet via the adaptor and bridge mode being used when you want to connect the consoles to an existing network.

Wii Sports Resort to Come with MotionPlus Add-on

It appears Nintendo is ready to release “Wii Sports 2” except they’ve named it “Wii Sports Resort” and not only that, they’re going to use it to introduce another add-on for their Wii console.

Dubbed the “Wii MotionPlus“, this little add-on plugs into the bottom of the Wiimote and helps to improve the accuracy of reflecting the user’s movements in a game.

In other words, this could mean no more “wagging” and sword fighting could be more fun than “Zack and Wiki“.
