Some excellent news for Final Fantasy VII fans as according to Famitsu, the very first official short story from On The Way to a Smile, “Case of Denzel” will be available in animated form in the upcoming Blu-ray releases of Advent Children Complete! It will be animated by A-1 Pictures who produced shows such as Persona Trinity Soul.
It is also revealed the Japanese release will contain an English track so importers who wish to get their hands on the goods early should be pleased. However, it doesn’t seem to mention if it’s just the main movie that will have this.
Looks like SE wasn’t satisfied just calling the bonus item set that come with their upcoming FFVII Advent Children Complete movie, “First Press” editions. The official name is now “Trial Version Set” according to Dengeki Online and the movie isn’t just HD… It’s “Beyond High Definition”! Good to see the company having great ambitions.
We also get to see what the Blu-Ray boxart of the movie and the 160GB “Cloud Black” PS3 looks like which seems to feature the “Cloudy Wolf” emblem. Kind of getting tired of seeing Cloud and Sephiroth being stuck on the front cover of nearly all the FFVII related merchandise to be honest.
Watch out for the sets in import stores on April 16th.
Just look at the reflection of Edge City on that Materia… Can’t see that much detail on DVD. Not that the scene exists in the current version anyway!
Famitsu reveals there will be “three editions” of FFVII Advent Children Complete which is a Blu-ray HD version of the RPG movie sequel with 30 minutes of new original footage. They will be due sometime this March in Japan and, only the first press editions of the PS3 bundle and the movie will come with a bonus disk containing a playable demo of FFXIII as well as footage of the other two titles Versus and Agito. The regular edition of the movie won’t have this disk.
