Laputa: Castle in The Sky and Spirited Away Limited Edition Steelbook Case Review

Don’t know this was a good or bad thing but, saw limited edition steelbook copies of Spirited Away and Laputa on my Twitter timeline and thought I’d splurge out to get them both. Always wanted to own some of my favourite Ghibli movies on blu-ray.

I think the designer did a good job of the front covers on these Zavvi exclusives because they have a small illusion of popout 3D art but also capture the key parts of the movies.

Persona 5 Official Design Works Artbook Review

Day Persona 5 officially gets released in West! A book has also appeared on Amazon US called “The Art of Persona 5” by Prima Games which might be a localised version of this book so you might want to hold out until June 27th. However, it’s thinner at only 432 pages so we’ll have to wait and see…

Persona 5 Official Design Works is one big heavy artbook… Probably the biggest I’ve seen at 512 A4 pages, 1.6kg. It reminds me of the the free telephone directories that are distributed to homes in the UK but, the paper and print quality’s much better of course. Shows how much thought went into the game and why it’s oozing with quality, enough to play through a second time to platinum it.

Sankei Miniatuart Ghibli Papercraft – No. 19 Laputa

Been a while since I last built a Ghibli Minituart papercraft. This time, I’ll be tackling a one star Laputa one model number 19 so it should be quicker. Then again, the first Totoro one was a one star but it still took many hours to put together so wasn’t expecting this to be any easier although it did look simpler.

There are quite a few other harder Laputa models such as the actual castle in the sky but it only looked good in the cover photo. The actual model wasn’t very good when I saw the models in Loft.
