Complete Set of Nintendo Games is Unsold

It looks like the buyer of the complete set of Famicom games has changed his/her/their mind according to Akibablog (NSFW). Well, I guess they decided there were better assets they could invest their US$7300 in. Put it in a tax-free bank account for example and one could net quite a bit of interest anyway if Japan have those kind of accounts.

On the other hand, maybe the seller should consider setting up their own games museum. Looking at how many are dropping by to take photos of the collection and their comments, they could end up making a small sum of money from it.

Up for sale again!

Why not take a break?

Unless you've got loads of money to burn, it's only sensible not to plonk down all that cash for non-essentials in the midst of a global financial crisis. Who knows, the purchaser might have just lost his posh investment banker job and decided that all those yen will be better spent on something more important. (Like food.)

On the other hand, if I had cash to spare this does seem like a great opportunity to acquire a complete collection in one go. It could form the core of a new Nintendo museum display or something.
